ACCENT Proudly Presents:
James Ehnes, Violin

Date: Tuesday, January 6, 2026
Time: 6:15 PM Reception | 7:00 PM Program
Location: N. Bud Grossman Mezzanine, Orchestra Hall
We are honored that international superstar violinist James Ehnes is appearing at FRIENDS of the Minnesota Orchestra ACCENT series on Tuesday, January 6 at the N. Bud Grossman Mezzanine in Orchestra Hall. James is performing in concert with the Minnesota Orchestra on January 8, 9 & 10, so we are thrilled that he is able to headline an ACCENT evening!
James Ehnes has a long association with FRIENDS. Many of you may remember that he won the Grand Prize in the FRIENDS (formerly WAMSO) 1992 Young Artist Competition, at the age of 15! Since then he has established himself as one of the most sought-after musicians in the world. Gifted with a rare combination of stunning virtuosity, serene lyricism and an unfaltering musicality, James is a favourite guest at the most celebrated concert halls. He is a two-time Grammy winner, a three-time Gramophone Award winner, and the recipient of 12 Juno Awards. In 2022 James served as the honorary chair of the 60th Young Artist Competition.
This ACCENT event is hosted by Melissa Ousley, host of Your Classical MPR and of the Friday evening live Minnesota Orchestra broadcasts since 2019.
This is your last chance to get tickets for this ACCENT program. Come support James, hear of his latest appearances, and cheer on in his stellar career trajectory.
