Resources for Educators

Welcome to Kinder Konzerts! This program is a wonderful way for children to enjoy Orchestra Hall and learn more about music with a musical experience called a Sound Factory followed by an on-stage concert, performed by members of the Minnesota Orchestra and a narrator.  The 2019-20 Kinder Konzerts season features the Northwoods storybook One-Dog Canoe by Mary Casanova, with an original musical work composed by Minnesota composer Daniel Nass which debuted in September 2019.

These materials are designed to support classroom activities around your classroom’s attendance of Kinder Konzerts.

We Are The Audience

Thank you to all who attended an Educator Workshop this year!

Each year we offer two Educator Workshop dates, usually in September and January. Both dates have passed for this season. Workshops are from 9:30-noon and the cost is $25 per attendee. If you are new to the program, have new staff, or are unfamiliar with the story this will help give valuable curriculum planning tips and a chance to preview the program your group will experience.  Coffee and pastries are served and all participants are given a clock hours certificate. Dates for next season’s Educator Workshops will be announced Summer 2020.
