Come and see what an impact this award winning program has in real time! FRIENDS of the Minnesota Orchestra is inviting you to come see the magic of music at our Kinder Konzerts™ in the Hall on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024. Bring a FRIEND (or two!) and enjoy the energy of children experiencing classical music and Orchestra Hall.

In this episode, Sophia recounts how her first experience with music was attending Kinder Konzerts™ when she was four! Take a listen.
Celebrate Women’s History Month with FRIENDS
Pianist Yuja Wang has graced stages all over the world, earning rave reviews that describe her performances as daredevil, dazzling and captivating. Now, she makes her Minnesota Orchestra debut in an exhilarating piano concerto by Sergei Prokofiev alongside returning guest conductor Hannu Lintu. The Orchestra also performs Ciel d’hiver by Kaija Saariaho, who passed away on June 2, 2023, in Paris. Her Ciel d’hiver was orginally scheduled for a Minnesota Orchestra program in June 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic.

FRIENDS got a preview of Nina Bernat’s performances with the Minnesota Orchestra. Thank you to Osmo Vänskä, MPR’s Melissa Ousley, Nina Bernat and Lukas Goodman for this exceptional ACCENT. We created connections to the artists days before the concert at Orchestra Hall and celebrated the legacy of the Young Artist Competition.
